Congressman Mike Simpson is pleased to announce the endorsement of the Idaho Dairymen’s Association, Inc.
“I am grateful to receive the endorsement of the Idaho Dairymen’s Association,” said Congressman Simpson. “The Idaho dairy industry is vital to Idaho’s economy. I will continue to represent Idaho as a co-chair of the bi-partisan Congressional Dairy Farmer caucus and in all of my other congressional duties to ensure the success of all Idaho dairy producers.”
“The IDA historically has not endorsed candidates at the local, state or federal level,” said the IDA’s President Tony Vander Hulst. “Mike has been a strong advocate for the Idaho dairy industry at every turn, and it’s because of this that the IDA has endorsed Mike. I encourage all Idahoans to join the IDA in supporting Congressman Simpson.”
The Idaho is the third largest milk producing state in the country, with IDA representing all dairy producers in the state. The 14.1 billion pounds of milk produced by the dairy industry each year is responsible for employing over 23,000 Idahoans according to a University of Idaho Economic Impact Study.
